Patricia Manns
Author & Speaker

About Me

Patricia is an author and speaker who encourages other women to find their true worth in discovering  the unconditional love of God.  She has a heart for the broken, the discarded, and the hopeless. She loves to tell others that God has not forgotten them.

Born in rural Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Patricia grew up in a household of twenty-one individuals. In her book, she includes moments of laughter and tears, which accompanied her journey.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowie State University, with a bachelor's degree in English and secondary education. Later, she attained a Master's in guidance and counseling. Her career includes twenty-one years as a middle school language arts teacher and thirteen years as a school counselor.

She is presently retired from her career in public education and is in ministerial training program at her local church.  There she teaches children's church and participates as one of the volunteer prayer counselors with TV 57's Atlanta Live program.  She and her husband recently went on a mission's trip to Jamaica, "Cruise with a Cause," under the direction of Praisefest Ministeries.  She credits that trip with broadening her worldview and increasing her desire to serve others.

When not involved with church responsibilities, Patricia enjoys writing her blog, planning her next writing project, playing with her grandchildren, and spending time with her husband, who is a significant person in her memoir.
She is a member of the East Metro Atlanta Writers Association, in Covington, Georgia, which she credits with pushing her along in her writing career. From high school to college, Patricia has nurtured her love of writing. She believes God is calling all women to fulfill their life-long dreams and step out into the sunshine of His love. It's there she believes one's greatest potential is realized.  "When you know you are loved, you can do anything!" Patricia exclaims.
